It's always dark. Okay, so my problem's weird..you know how if you're building a house it's dark in the house nomatter what time of day it is until you add windows? Well..all my houses have more windows than it needs, but it never gets light in the house. Any clue what's wrong with it? Kate
Do you mean, it's dark outside, or just that the house seems gloomy? If the former, are you building downtown? It often starts you at night. If the latter, you may need to adjust your game settings. Open the menu with the cogs on it. It's on the same menu as save and exit. You should see a bunch of video options like reflections. Your computer may not support all of the features. It depends on how good your video card is. The one you want is lighting. Shadows are cool too. Experiment with the settings and see which one you like. You may want to go to medium at first, depending on how good of a computer you have. You'll need a lot of RAM and a good video card to use maximum on everything. I usually play with most things on medium and I have a 6600 geForce video card and a gig of RAM, but a slower processor (can't remember what speed it is, right now). I never got light in my houses through the windows until I changed the light settings. Also, of course, you need to add at least one light source to each room for nighttime use. Unless you like the dark and gloomy look. One family of vampires I have, for example, uses exclusively candleabras to light their gloomy wreck of a mansion. Atmosphere, darling. Anyway, hope this helps. Sorry if I'm telling you things you already know.
Yes, i had this same problem and it reallly suxs, I've never fixed even though i've put more than enough windows and i played with the lighting, but the dumb thing won't get light!!!
