Lifetime Aspiration in Mac version of Sims 2 Sorry if this has been asked before, but - does the Mac version of Sims 2 give sims Lifetime Aspirations? I played the Sims 2 on PC a few years ago, and I just now bought it for my Mac. Problem is, I can't see the lifetime aspiration...I can see the current level (er, whatever it's called - green, gold, platinum) but I can't see what their grand life desire is At first I thought I was just rusty and forgot where I could find it, but upon watching some youtube videos of where it is in the PC Sims 2, I'm realizing that it's simply not there. Is this an issue that's come up because it didn't download right, or is this not something the Mac Sims 2 has? Or, is their lifetime aspiration/want somewhere else completely?
The mac version of the Sims 2 is supposed to be exactly the same as the PC version. Nothing has changed, all the places things are supposed to be, should be there. It was for me. Have you updated to the latest patch from Aspyr? http://support.aspyr.com/index.php/kb/browse/000996 Maybe try creating a new sim to see if it also happens to them. HIH.
I've been talking to Aspyr about this, but so far there's been no solution... I've downloaded the patch, uninstalled/reinstalled, checked other neighborhoods Sims, and new as well as premade Sims. I'm at a total loss...is it possible the CD just didn't come with it? If it's of any consequence, I had my brother download the game and it doesn't work on his Mac, either.
I'm pretty sure its not possible that the DVD did not come with it. Aspyr converted everything in the game to be playable on a Mac. Virtually there should be no difference between the PC or Mac version. Does your computer meet the systems requirements? I don't know what else it could be. All of my Sims 2 games on the Mac plays and have exactly the same things as on the PC. I have not heard or seen any trouble with the lifetime aspiration missing, despite all of the glitches/problems that I've experienced. Maybe the specific DVD defective? Since you tried it with your brother's Mac. Sorry if I wasn't much help. Good Luck with everything.
