Spore Log in issues

    Log in issues

    Hello,
    My son is having trouble with his spore game on my PC since we had to reformat the PC.
    The reformat was unrelated to spore. Since we reformated, he has reinstalled the game on my PC.

    Once installed we cannot log in while in the game with his user id and password. It is correct, we can log in directly to spore.com and access his account ect.

    He can play offline. My daughter also plays spore and she can log in and play under her user name just fine.
    We get a connection error for him, tho the PC is having no connection problems.

    It seems to me that due to the reinstall, there is something wrong with the account, or validation ect.
    we have emailed spore five times in the last month. No answer.
    The chat person tells me to uninstall again and also to make a new user account under vista.
    We do not use separate user accounts and since the game runs and plays fine for her a couple of seconds after he tries, I know the game, pc, internet connection ect.. is fine..
    Where can I go from here??

    Have you tried using another user account? I'm not sure if Spore perhaps binds one Spore account to the user account which means no other Spore account can be used on that user account.

    Well, I only have one user account on this machine, so I dont think its that, but I can create another
    user account with full permissions and try it.
    I'll post back once I have that done, Im waiting on a download and I believe you need to restart your PC once you make account changes to vista.

    I made and tested out the user account just in case and it still gives me the same error, I believe its on spores end and something they need to correct with his account information.
    I have emailed them several times, finally got a response back yesterday after three weeks. It says they need more info which I replied with the required items they needed to check into our issue. No response back yet.
    They claim to reply/respond in 24 or 48 I think hours so we wait.

    Any other ideas?

    Nope, sounds like the problem is on their end and there's nothing else you can do.

    Maybe they meant days and not hours!
    Any more their support sucks!
