Making The Band How do you join a band ? I've been searching on it forever. Also, How could you make a band ?' Sorry if this has been asked before, but im having some problems with it.
A "band" in the game is a somewhat ad hoc thing. One sim starts to "perform" on an instrument and other sims may then either be asked to "Join" (eg if they are NPC -- non-playable characters) or else -- if the others are under your direct control you may send them to the instrument of your choice and you'll find the options are now Practice and Join rather than Practice and Perform. The whole band thing is a wee bit less than perfect IMO but it is still way better than nothing at all. The main benefit (again IMO) of the band options is for making movies and in story telling. You certainly won't see anything like the band scenes that Maxis made in the trailers for University but there is, of course, nothing to stop you making your own movies, is there. As in real life, the movies in the The Sims 2 are often more idealized that the "real life" of normal gameplay. For example I use the moveobjects on and boolprop allow45degreesofrotation true cheat cheat to improve the positions of my sims before I begin filming. I haven\'t yet managed to get a sim to go near a set of drums at 45deg but the guitar and bass look much better on a stage like that ...
