Manual Navigation Mod Are you tired of having your Sims constantly override your "Move to Here" orders anytime you give them another order? If you're making a movie and want your Sims to march back and forth, or just want them to travel a specific route to avoid traffic jams, or just run destinations to get there faster without you having to babysit them, check out "Manual Navigation": Sims will carry out their waypoint navigation orders as instructed instead of thinking they're smarter than you.
Nice one! Would it also stop a family losing its one and only chance to summon the headmaster for dinner? I had 3 goes with one family before I realized that Dad was deciding to go take a leak during the microsecond that intervened between me clicking "end tour" and "summon for dinner" ... order given, order lost, no new order can be given because the old order has yet to be executed. I don't choose to call it a bug ... I am convinced it is part of the game by design to keep us on our toes ... but it's close call.
"Call for Dinner" is an instantaneous action: it's never queued, and takes effect immediately upon being issued, just like turning the lights on and off. The headmaster is sometimes a bit stubborn about being called for dinner, and you may have to send people to shoo him if he gets obsessed with some item in the house. Disabling auto-abort for move orders does not change this.
Oh ... (in the words of the catch phrase from a very old Brit TV commercial) "yore sooooo clever, Bwian." I never thought of trying to shoo the old fool. I just got in the habit of saving as soon as he appears so I can have another go if the evening gets messed up for whatever reason. Tis a great mod, anyway ... I've got me sims running everywhere!
