Maxis Closing Offtopic Section of BBS

The Sims BBS is a great place to learn about, talk about, and bond with others who share a passion for The Sims game. We highly value this community and want to keep the Boards a fun, helpful, and positive place for Simmers to congregate.
We'd like to get back to our roots and maintain a fun environment that focuses on the game and the game's users. On The Sims 2 site, there is no Off Topic section, yet the community is still able to forge friendships and bonds while discussing the game and their experiences with the game. We are going to use that model on this board and remove the Off Topic section from The Sims site. We think the community will benefit through focusing on what brought us all here in the first place- The Sims.

If you wish to discuss matters not relating to The Sims, there are many forums on our fansites with Off Topic sections. Oh well, I just won't go to any sites any more. No one cares if I am here, and no one cares if I am at the sims site. *shrugs* Will just stay at yahoo chat all the time from now on.
