    Missing Mailbox

I used the MoveObjects cheat to move the mailbox and trash can so that they were right by the front door. It was working fine and I was paying my bills, but I guess I forgot all about it after a while, so I got a notice about the repo man. I went to check the mailbox and pay the bills before he came, but the mailbox was completely gone. I'm positive I never deleted it, and the trash can is still there where I left it. I looked all around the lot and it's nowhere to be found, so I have no way of paying my bills now. How can I get the mailbox back? :(

You might need to reset your game...not sure if you want to do that.
If you would like to reset your neighborhoods back to the default lots and families (all save data including new sims will be lost), you can do so by following these steps:

    1. Open your My Documents folder.
    2. Open the EA Games folder.
    3. Right-click on The Sims 2 folder and choose Delete.
    4. When it is finished deleting, close any open windows.
    5. Right-click on your Recycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin.
    6. When it is finished emptying, you may start your game.

When you restart the game, The Sims 2 folder in your My Documents folder will regenerate with the default data, causing all neighborhoods to be reset.

I don't think such drastic action is required... probably 'dozing the lot is enough. Send the simmies to the bin and delete the lot, and add a new lot in its place... lose the house but keep the sims.

It sounds like the repo man was able to take the mailbox as if it were any other object once you moved it! I'd try the suggestion of moving your family out so they go to the family bin, and bulldozing the house, like Cyricc said. If that doesn't work, maybe try moving the family to another lot? And if that doesn't work then you might have to try the drastic measures ManagerJosh explains, that's sure to fix it, but what a loss to lose all your saved data! :(
