Missing: one husband. Yep... just what it says, my daughter just got married, but her husband went missing right after they got married. The note came up to say that he had joined the family, bringing his money with him, and sure enough, I have the money, and he's not in my phone book anymore, but he isn't in the house, and his little icon thingy isn't there either. The only thing I can think of is that they weren't finished getting married by the time the wedding party ended, and that my silly computer has got itself confused. Anyone know what to do, or should I just not save the game, and try again?
If you can try again that is the preferable option, hwes. The alternative is to use the debug cheats and that might only weld whatever problem there was into the family permanently. My Golden Rule is this: When a glitch occurs always go back and start afresh rather than bulldoze through a problem.
Does your missing sim have a cell phone? If so, try calling him and inviting him over. You can then propose move in. If that doesn't work, or he doesn't have a cell phone, have a sim on a different property invite him to move in. I've lost two sims that way. The first was in the original game. I thought she was gone forever until she wandered onto another sim's property. Strangely, he could call her even though she technically had no phone. I made them fall in love and he invited her to move in, so she was saved. The second time my sim disappeared on the way home from a community lot so there was no way I could exit without saving. (I tried, but when I got back she was still missing.) I had a different family invite her and her husband to live with them and whew, it worked. They lost all their stuff but I didn't really care about that so much. Edited to say: Oops. Missed the "not in the phone book" part. That's a new one. If you haven't saved yet that's definitely the first option. Exit without saving. If you already saved the game try another lot. Maybe he'll be on their phone lists?
