Music.... I know there'd probably be some kind of charge but it would be nice to have some good music for the sims to listen to. I would start with Benny Goodman's "Sing, sing, sing" and add Van Morrison's "Moondances" and maybe "A New York State of Mind" (don't know the artist). What would you listen to, if you could?
What I did was put my 80s mp3s into the folders for the different radio stations in the game so when my sims picked Rock it was actually my 80s mp3s playing. My friend showed me how to do this, she had her game set up with different build and buy mode music too, it was a kind of weird ambiance music and she called it her "Borg" music, from the Borg in Star Trek.... Now that I've reinstalled and everything I haven't messed with the default music again, but I keep thinking I'd love to set up with music like Eye in the Sky and Every Step You Take, stuff I think of when I'm playing sims anyway!
Thanx, Fae, Maybe when you have time you could take us though the step by step process. Does the music have to come from the internet or can you copy off of personal cds?
I think my friend got her music to mp3 format off her cds, but they were already mp3s when she gave them to me, she made me a mix cd of my favorite 80s music. I think there are sites on the internet where you can buy mp3s, and I know there are streaming radio stations online now but I don't know if you can record off of them like you record off the normal radio. I guess the first step is to get your music as files that play on your computer somehow. I'll go look at my sims game later and see if I can make step by step where to put stuff for it to play in the game.
