Neighborhood Won't Show Like a half a year ago i installed the Sims 2 and it worked perfectly fine. A month ago i deleted the game and then i decided that i should install it this week. When i tried it said something about AUTORUN/AUTORUN.bmp and so i looked it up and got this: I did all of the above and it worked fine except when i get to the main screen with all of the neighborhoods it doesn't show the picture of them. It just shows a green grid thing. So i clikced it and it aslo didn't show the details for the neighborhood, it just gives me an options to add the details. So pushed the button to play in one of the neighborhoods and then the loading screen got stuck. Can anyone give me some support?
Short of resetting the entire neighborhoods, I'm not sure if there's another way of approaching it. If you would like to reset your neighborhoods back to the default lots and families (all save data including new sims will be lost), you can do so by following these steps: Open your My Documents folder. Open the EA Games folder. Right-click on The Sims 2 folder and choose Delete. When it is finished deleting, close any open windows. Right-click on your Recycle Bin and choose Empty Recycle Bin. When it is finished emptying, you may start your game. When you restart the game, The Sims 2 folder in your My Documents folder will regenerate with the default data, causing all neighborhoods to be reset.
I am puzzled by the reference to deleting the game ... does this mean what it looks like or does Devvo mean the game was uninstalled?
lol i can't play the game when it is deleted Josh. Anyways, i just downloaded some things to create a new Neighborhood and then wehn i did it i tried to download a new lot and then when i tried to put it into the neighborhood the game just froze...
