The good news is, University actually has a cheat to set the TV volume yourself. floatProp tvVolume 0.2 The default is 0.5, which seems lower than before University, but is still too loud for me. Setting it to 0.2 seems about right, but you can set it lower if you wish. I've tried 0.1 which is at least as good as muting it altogether, as you can still tell if a TV is turned on if you can't see the screen, but it's not loud enough to interfere with anything else. You can change the volume while the TV is turned on, but the change won't take effect until the current tv movie ends and a new one begins. It's good enough to allow you to fine tune the volume if you wish. This also affects the volume of the video games played on both the TV and the computer.
