New things? I downloaded a new eye color, a new eyeshadow, and a new eyeliner off a website. The problem is, I have NO clue how to get it in the game! I could get a downloaded painting in the game with little problem, I just can't figure out where to put these things, because I couldn't find a folder on appearance. Any tips?
You just unzip them into your download folder and then go back into the folder and double-click on the packed file. The Custom Content browser opens up and installs them for you.
I can't. My game is on a different computer than I download them with. Plus, I tried that on my other computer, and I couldn't figure out which program to run it...(it asked me which program to unzip it with) sooo is there any way to manually put it into a certain folder?:ermm:
Ok, we need to find out what kind of files it is that you are trying to open, since most are either opened with sims packager, winzip or winrar, I'd have to assume that these would be .rar files. Windows alone does not have the program installed; in order to open these, you have to download the program which would be WinRAR, even better than that is ZipGenius which can be found at http://www.zipgenius.it/ it is a completely free program and can unzip a number of file formats. Once that is done you need to transfer the files to your other comp, put them on a floppy or whatever you use to transfer stuff, and send them directly to your downloads folder in the Sims2 directory which is located in 'my documents'. If the folder doesn't exist, create one. All downloads go in this folder, there are no special subcategories.
