Nightlife Bug...? Hi all, I have a little problem. With one family I have, they go downtown in their car. But when they enter the lot downtown, the game is in buy mode, and the family is nowhere to be found. So I exited the game, and went back into the house later, only to find that the family is permanently gone, but you can hear the engine idling somewhere. I waited for (sim)days and they still haven't come home. Anyone else with this problem? I love NL and all, but if it means I have to go through this to get downtown (and not even use it!) fuggeddabadit! Thanks, John
LOL. Sorry about laughing, John, but it really sounds pretty funny when you first read it. And I haven't had this problem yet although I did have a family drive themselves downtown to a club. No problems with it.
I've not had this issue either. Hummmmm. It sounds to me like they are stuck on the other lot and that lot is stuck in "buy mode." Can you enter the downtown lot from the neighborhood screen and find them? Then use the move_objects cheat and delete them? Or at least, their car?
The only thing I can suggest is to delete the affected community lot hopefully this should restore the stuck sims (to be safe though make a copy of the neighborhood folder before you try this )
