nothing happens i bought a Spore disk off of E-bay, and i got it today. It was still in this plastic wrappin , and the disk has no scratches or anything wrong with it, but my computer won't read it. I have XP, and I've seen other people with this problem, but i don't really understand the explanation that you guys keep giving(it's something to do with a dvd drive instead of a cd drive? I don't really know). I'm not very computer savvy, but please help.
If you know nothing about computers and would like to still play the game look for an external dvd drive that hooks up with either a usb 2.0 or firewire connection. Your computer will more than likely have the usb connection rather than the firewire connection. Installing a dvd drive is simple and you can find online guides on the web for how to install one.
