Apparently the official SimCity forums is now under huge censorship after some people started to heavily criticize the decision to heavily depend on internet access for the game to run...

Ahhh, how I love publishers. =]

There is no reason for games to require internet access to play single player. DRM only affects honest consumers who actually buy the products. I really don't understand why publishers keep insisting on restrictive DRM.

This was the last bit of my newer, clean post and to put it in context, I was explaining how so many companies these days are giving in to making products designed for the lowest common denominator. Now, lets have a look at the reason given for the entire posts removal: Off Topic.

This was posted in the general forum. This was my very own topic. This was not a reply to a previous topic. So I must assume ONE of THREE possibilities at this point given what has happened:
1. EA's forum moderators will from time-to-time take action on a post based on someone reporting said post, without actually reading the post to confirm that the reason for reporting said post was accurate.
2. Someone has divided by zero, causing my post on the forum to be its own topic, yet somehow still be "off-topic" at the exact same time.
3. EA is censoring select posts that highlight dissatisfaction in the information that has been released directly from the developers themselves.

To explain number three a bit more; it would seem that posts on the forums that seem to get their information from forum speculation alone, or that are presented as more of a request, do not seem to be finding themselves removed. I say "do not seem" because I have no true way of knowing if other posts have been removed, but I have yet to see anyone ELSE suggest otherwise.
