Okay, so Where The Heck Did My Neighborhood Go?? All weekend my son has been pestering me to download the hack to allow alien abductions every time they look in the telescope. Even though it was against my better judgement,I finally gave in, and he played happilly all afternoon with his alien baby. He plays the "Strangetown" Neighborhood, and I play my custom neighborhood. So, when I go to play my neighborhood this evening, it is GONE! The name and description is gone and it will not load. I can load the other neighborhoods fine. I can go into "My Documents" and see the all of that neighborhood's files. Oh, I have: Windows XP Pentium 4 at 2.4 Ghs, 512 MB RAM 60 gig hard drive with 28.5 gigs of free space NIVIDA GeForce 4 MX420 I am not in any way blaming the hack. I'm sure it works fine for other people, and I completely understand that, as with anything else one downloads for the Sims, I am the one responsible for any game problems. It may have had nothing to do with the hack, or it may have been somethig my son has done while playing it, or I may have installed the hack wrong. I don't know. Help!!! I'm gonna freak if I loose my families and have to start all over!!!:depressed: :disappointed:
Josh: I had played the neighborhood the night before, and I did go into the graphics options and told it to "sharpen", and then I went into the audio options and turned down the music. Then the next morning I downloaded the hack for my son, and then he played in his neighborhood (strangetown) all day with no problems. I reloaded the game later on in the evening and that's when my custom neighborhood wouldn't load and it's name and description gone.
me too! I'm having the same problems!!! only, ALL of mine are gone, and I didn't download anything. AAAH!!
