Once Upon A Time: (A Sims Fairy Tale)

My sim Mercedes was living at home with her father after college. Her mother, mini-me, had died and so Mercedes was helping raise her two little brothers Cougar and Dakota. One day she was getting the mail when a Sim I never play, Thaddeous Model, stopped by. Thad is a hottie. I downloaded him from WDS trying to get his hair! I made the whole family from sims I had downloaded into Body Shop from various sites. His daughter Victoria was a teen I downloaded from here made by Amy. ;)

So, Mercedes and Thad hit it off. She kept having wants about him, like, "Be best friends with That", "Call Thad to chat", "Play with Thad." All of them were quite innocent, because Thad was married and the father of Mercedes's good friend Victoria.

Mercedes's dad Jimmy transitioned into an Elder very badly, since he never got over his wife's death. His wants are now "A relative gets engaged," "A relative gets married," and "Have a Grandchild." Mercedes is the only grown child Jimmy has, so she's it.

So I move Mercedes out to concentrate on her. She keeps having parties. Thad comes over and she stays in the Platnim levels by talking to and playing with him. They are best buds, everything's fine. But he rejects her if she flirts with him. Thad's a good guy. LOL

So I'm frustrated. His wife is the main reason I never play this house. I hate her. I made her to be snobby and she comes out just plain mean. She's a money sim (I hate those anyway) and she's just plain mean to their children, won't let them hug her, won't talk to them, nothing. That's why I sent Victoria to college, to get her away from the woman! LOL

I switch over to their household and check Thad's stats. Thad's wants are all about his wife. So is poor Mercedes's feelings unrequited? I look at his friendship meter, and nope, it's double 100. But it's also double 100 for his nasty wife.

So I start having them argue, and Thad mutters at me, hating it. Their little boy starts fearing "relative breaks up." The wife (I can't even remember that wretch's name!) enjoys the fighting. I click on her and tell her to argue and she's rubbing her hands. Oh, how I hate her!! But Thad won't argue with her, he just wants to go play piano.

So I sit there and watch them go about their little Simmy-lives, and think, "How can I break up this family?" I am so mean!! But, I want Thad and Mercedes together. Thad will make her a great husband! Jimmy will have his wants fullfilled and stop crying randomly. Mercerdes and Thad will have beautiful children! I want it!!

So I type in the boolprop cheat and click "kill by flies".

Mrs. Model is devoured by flies like the filth she was. hehehe Thad and little Thomas cry. I didn't know that was also one of Thomas's fears, I sent him into aspiration failure. :( Poor kid.

The next day Thad called Mercedes and invited her to the park. At the park he played kicky-ball with her and pushed her on the swings. Then I told him to flirt with her. Bam! Pink and red hearts go off over both their heads: They are in love. Then I had him give her a sqeeze, then a romantic kiss. I followed that up with a "Propose engagement". It was very sweet!! :) Finally, I sent Thad home and had him throw the wedding party. It was a beautiful wedding. When they got married, I saw Jimmy get the aspiration points for the fulfilled want. Mercedes moved out of her little shack and into Thad's mansion. She and Thad are crazy in love. Thomas is still crying and stomping around, but he's a kid with several more days before he transitions into a teen, so he'll pull out of it. :)

I put them all to bed and turned off the computer. :) The end

The end huh? I would like to know how the ghost of wife reacts to her husbands new love, that should be interesting. You didn't get rid of the headstone did you? Great story though!

Nope, I never get rid of a tombstone unless it's a townie. :) I also thought that would be something funny to see. I'll let you know if she pops up. :D

Heh, I see you have the Romance Mod. Otherwise sims never reject anyone. :p

Ah, grouchy sims. I love grouchy sims, for apparently the same reason you hate them: Because they're mean to people! I encourage all of my sims to be grouchy! My neighborhood is full of mean, nasty people....just like me! They occasionally cruise community lots, looking for some townie to insult and poke.

I should have known it was your fault! LOL LOL You have Mrs. Models' blood on your hands, JMP. Not that you're bothered by that. LOL LOL

My husband is ROTF laughing at all this. He says he could hug you, it was about time someone put a stop to all my sims' phillanering. :p Did he call you and put you up to this? Pay you good money? LMAO J/K

Having played most of my Sims so far as nice happy people I find I'm getting tired of it ... my new neighborhood is going to be a bit more realistic. I had my female main character fight with her cute college boyfriend (townie guy) after he refused a kiss ... I think she's doomed to be unhappy in love. I'm envisioning lots of breakups. I'm going to have her start a real row with him next time I play.

(She joined the secret society BTW, and what a disappointment. Yawn. I think I may have her feed the other members to the cow plant, just for a little excitement ... )

I think I finally need to download Pescado's hacks. A little rejection now and then sounds good to me ...

Not sure I want permanent platinum too soon for anyone, either. After all unhappiness is a part of life!

Slobs are more fun, too. They don't like it when I tell them to do things, like wash a plate. They get a little snippy, asking if they should lick it clean. I say OK, you're the one who's got to eat off it next time.

I've only had a fight occur spontaneously (I didn't set it up) one time. I invited someone to the house, they brought a friend who turned out to be a woman that the husband of the household had been fooling around with. Wife attacked immediately. Don't even remember any more which household it was, it was shortly after I got the game. But it took me by surprise and was great fun to watch :p .

Generally, though, I admit I prefer harmony over discord.

Yes, that's kind of my problem, too. The harmony/discord thing that is ... I mean for my sims to have stressful lives but I can't always bring myself to do it ... right now, for example, my two main sims are in love with each other and they're just so cute ... a really handsome couple, and they obviously adore each other, even if they live in separate houses ... I hate to break all that up.

But there's this married couple that I plan to have both of them get involved with, kind of a lover's quadrangle, and then watch the sparks fly ...

Sigh. Sometimes it's tough being a Sim goddess. :p

I know, it can be a burden ;) . But an addictive burden and I take it upon myself almost every night.

I always make mean people; it appeals to my personality. I may not look like it from the few posts I've made before, (especially since I turned my life around by starting to use capitalization and proper spelling words on the web) but I am an extremely cold and heartless person. Cheers!

Hmmm ... not sure I'm buying the cold and heartless routine. ;)

I have found that slightly unhappy sims are more fun to play. Shake up those little lives, don't let them get too complacent ...

My married sim dad lost his job as a golf caddy last night so mom went to work as a dishwasher instead. Dad was in no shape to go, so now he's a stay-at-home parent, and loving it! They're both romance sims but mom is more outgoing ... the dad sim, Dante, actually enjoys spending time with their daughter more than he seemed to like going to work, so it all ended well. Sim daughter turned into a child last night, in platinum mode ... can't seem to stop myself from letting the little simbots be happy.

They are poor, though, and that's OK. I used to worry about that kind of thing, but I think being poor has its advantages. It's kind of fun to see what they can do without ... pillow fights are free, for example, so who needs a dart board? Of course I like it when I can buy new stuff too but I have my two single sims for that ... fewer mouths to feed means more stuff you can buy!

I am not cold or heartless, and it tends to leak into my game ... :D

Dante is a type of Venus Flytrap. You can imagine how I got that information.

Well, all my friends know me as cold and heartless. It's just harder to seem cold and heartless when your online buddies can't see you staring at them with an expressionless expression (oxymoron! I love those things!). I tend to start staring at a random object and develop a vacant gaze. It freaks my friends out. I also don't mind hurting other people's feelings. In fact, I enjoy it. It always makes me laugh when one of the sim babies starts crying on the floor while his mother starves to death in a 2x2 cell. One of my closest friends says that something inside me has died. It certainly makes sense.

This isn't the place for giving personal advice, and I certainly don't know your situation, but all I can say, 123, is that's not necessarily a good thing ... just speaking as a mom who cares about all kids, including you.

You're young, you've got a lot of life ahead of you, and it's always good to be open to the possibilities ...
I've probably said too much already so I'm going to shut up now.

After enbaling the cheat in the way you suggest the options are available thru shift-clicking on the mailbox ... be careful. Mess up and it's not possible to go back.

I am sorry sweetheart but we try to use some version of English here. If you're in a hurry then your problem will be dealt with in the same fashion ... if you can't be bothered why should we? It doesn't matter what you think you wrote what matters is what comes out. I have to tell you that what comes out is gibberish. You have posted a string of self-effacements (understandable) and a string of questions that largely rely upon quesswork (ours) to deduce the issue under question. It ain't helpful. Take the time to write properly spelled and grammatical sentences describing what you want to happen and the situations in which you want it to occur. (And I only type with two fingers! ... because I am old and stupid :p )

Sorry, I should have realised! Well, I figured out the mailbox thing anyway, but I still don't know what option to click to enabl me to kill by flies and stuff. Could you please tell me that? PS Sorry! PPS I'll try to stop bugging you now! PPPS You are extremely helpful!

Ah .. LOL ... OK ... death by flies is something that I know can happen but I have no idea if or how it can be forced. If you're really determined maybe you'll find a way and then you can tell us. :D

I thought of a way to do it "in game" no cheats ... I think it might work.

Every time you have a dirty dish put it in a doorless "outhouse" or room. (Warning: If you have a maid this will drive her/him crazy ... they stand outside stamping their feet and saying "lixnar!" a lot and won't leave the lot until it gets really late or you dismiss them.)

After a while you should have enough of a swarm to kill off the sim of your choice. I don't think the swarm would escape, but use at your own risk!

To lure someone into the room, just put something fun in there ... I made a nanny trap once by putting a swingset in an outbuilding and then removing the door, and the swingset, once she went inside. Of course, if it's the maid you're after all you need is a door. She goes in to clean it up, and she doesn't come out. :p

I can be evil if I put my mind to it ... :D
