Well, I like the idea brought up in this topic to keep the impatient Spore gathering amused when playing the waiting game gets dull. But if that doesn't go ahead, then... well, I suppose you could just sit there and twiddle your thumbs for... a few months. Thumb-twiddling gets really addicting, I'll have you know.

Yeah, the creature editor early release would be a good idea, but that's something that's likely to be released, say, two months before the game comes out at the very earliest... Hate to burst anyone's bubble.

Until Spore comes out I'll be sitting around a cold, dark basement using various sim and online games to catch a cheap high, watching E3 demos on loop till my eyes crust over, and burning instruction manuals for warmth while I wait for the next screen shot or 2 minute video to sink my teeth into. I just hope these will satisfy my addiction enough to prevent the attack of a full on Spore withdrawl.... This is gonna be one hell of a year.

SlyDevil, you sound like me. I keep watching all the video's over and over. I have actually noticed things I missed before. Like in the one movie from GDC '05. When the Willosaurs are in the little village with the hut, as they are about to get the spear rack from Will Wright, I noticed one of the creatures in the background taking stuff from what looks like a pile of dead animals and putting them in a big vase. I wonder what that is about?

I also noticed when the Willosaur first comes out of the water, you can see a big flying creature off to the right of the screen and in other shots, you can see small flying creatures.

In one of the new videos from E3 '06, you can see that it seems the planets do rotate. I noticed that as the creature Will is playing is doing the mating call, you can see what looks like a moon in the sky. It comes up from the horizon and moves through the sky.
Other little things as well, I can't remember right now.
Man, I can't wait for this game to come out. Going to be a long year. :)

-Sighs- I remember the days... I was so addicted to gaming. Had to get a fix every morning before school.. all day after school.. into the late night hours. Aah. Yes, an emotional rollercoaster with the family. Waste of cash too >_>

BUT! I have seen the light, and you can to. They are called 'females'.
And I am now WAY MORE inclined to spend 5 hours in front of the TV watching Lost with my girlfriend.. than ever touching another MMORPG.

Spore, on the other hand is a completely different matter. It is edjumicational
^_^ and thus I am required, by law (not really, but would be funny) to purchase it to enlighten myself on the topics of creationism VS evolution.

But, thats a topic I will save for a later date. :spin:

What i did to pass time with The Sims 2 was create a wesbite! It had low traffic but It really passed the time for me

With spore I have done the same, and I talk in the forums, update the site, and time is passing by fast, but that's me,

maybe it was all the time spen tmaking mine for The Sims 2, I never used HTML or antyhing with websites before, and I got the hang of it and I really started to like it

    consider it!
