Pick Up Your Preordered Copy of “World Adventures” Early at Game Stop For those of you who preordered a copy of “The Sims 3: World Adventures” expansion pack via your local GameStop store (like I have), you can pick it up the night before the release on Monday, November 16, at midnight, which technically is November 17. The reason for this is because many of select Game Stop stores are opening at midnight for a special time for the launch of “Left 4 Dead 2″ and “Assassin’s Creed 2.” But because preordered copies of games usually arrive ahead of time, the employees are allowing you to pick up your copy of “World Adventures” at that time. I have called several stores in my area to confirm and apparently both Game Stop stores inside the mall near where I live are participating. But call your local store first just to make sure they are participating. Also, expect a long line of customers because these launch hours are usually very crowded when it comes to huge game titles. A clerk there suggested that I be there around 11pm or 11:30pm because of how long the line could be. However, as long as there are copies left, they will remain open until there are no more customers left. Visit www.gamestop.com and use the store locator in the link at the top menu to find your store and give them a call to make sure your local store is participating. You can still preorder now while you have the chance if you want to get your game a bit early. Unfortunately I have school at 8:30am Tuesday, so I may not be able to pick it up, but I’ll try. It sure beats having to go there the next day since my game would be waiting for me the instant I return from school. We’ll see!
