Please help me, I'm new to The Sims

Hey everybody. I just started The Sims recently and I'm not sure how to download objects and then use them in the game. I have The Sims Deluxe Edition and I have downloaded several objects and they are on my desktop. I want to actually use them in the game. If you could help me I would really like it:D

    Downloads and registration of games.

    Coco. Welcome to Worldsims!. :classic:

You shall use either winzip or simszip or Sim File Maid to unzip and place the objects/skins etc into the right folders in the game.
    Simszip can be found here:

Here's a site that has good help and tutorials for you:
    http://www.scoobysims.co.uk/faqandhelp1.html

At this site you'll find another tutorial and a helpprogram too:

I strongly recommend you add just a few things into the game at the time and then play the game as well. IF you got a corrupt or faulty file in your downloads you will be ablr to trace it down right away and remove it. Get Sims File Cop and run that too.
Also make sure you check out
    http://thesims.ea.com/us/index.html

The homesite for The Sims and where you registrer your products. By registration you can get access to chatroom, bbs and personal help. Also you get access to a lot of cool stuff. There's where you find patches you might need, but they are only available if you have an account.

Maybe you already have an account. Well. I write this so guests also can get why you should registrer your EA-products. :classic:

File Cop will find any bad textures, skins, bodies, heads, walls, floors, and import files and remove them from the game. It really is a big help with the game running well. :classic:
