    Please help with freezing

Alright, I just got TS2 (I know, finally) and I got it installed perfectly, but when I play it it will work for about 10 minutes and then freeze. I've searched around these forums and tried all the things that were suggested, but nothing worked. I have an emachines m5310 notebook with an ATI RADEON IGP 320m. I couldn't find updated drivers for this video card anywhere so I downloaded the omega drivers and that still didn't work. I also tried to put all the settings on low and putting the resolution low and that also didn't work. I have no clue what else I can do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sounds like you might be overheating your laptop. It happens to me from time to time if I'm on mine for too long, and the SIMS 2 can really get your computer worked up, takes a lot of effort to run a game with high demands. Next time it happens check the back of the laptop to see if it's hot or not. Then maybe look at getting a fan to aim towards the back to help keep it a little cooler. Mirelly had posted something about this in one of the other threads a while back. I believe she said they sell laptop trays with fans attached to them for about 25-35 dollars. Also make sure it's on a hard surface to give it room to breathe.
