I just bought the Sims 2 today and I installed everything icluding DirectX 9. Whenever I try to start the game I get the error " Failed to find DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics in the System! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer."

I am lost and have absolutly no idea of what tp do? Could someone please help?

first of all I don't even think your computer is powerful enough to run the game. it is well below the minimum requirements for the sims2. i'd get an upgrade before i even try to install...

but as a possible solution to your problem, make sure you upgraded your video drivers also. video drivers and directx 9.0c go hand in hand and must be upgraded to support each other.

let me know if this helps! :)

I will second that your computer is below the minimum system requirements.

Your graphics card is not supported (which is because it's below the ability level needed for the game.) And even if it were a supported Intel card, you don't have the 2.0ghz needed to run it. Your RAM is below the minimum as well as you need a minimum of 256mb of RAM.

So, to play the game on this computer you'd need to have a supported T&L graphics card and more RAM.
