I feel very sympathetic towards all the people in the U.S.A. and Canada who lost power. Eventually they even lost their laptops because they couldn't recharge their batteries, so I believe?
Just imagine, not being able to use your computer? A worse torture has not yet been invented.

 

Fortunatly I live on the west coast, up in Canada, in an igloo.

 

In an Igloo? Really? How do you get the computer to plug into the electricity mains?

 

I'm in Texas so I wasn't in the blackout, but it happened fairly soon after we got our a/c back after a week without it so my heart went out to everyone caught in the heat without good ventilation!! Some apartments, like ours, aren't REALLY designed for air to flow through them from the windows. Three of the rooms in our apartment HAVE no windows! What was really alarming about the blackout to me was the people who had NO WATER in their cities because the city water was pumped by electricity.... :(
