Pregnant teens?

My family is getting a little boring but not so boring I want all my sims to die, so I'm trying to make life more interesting. I have a teenage girl and I thought it might make things a bit better if she got pregnant. I can't seem to, tho. Is it even possible to get a pregnant teen?

 

Not without a modification to the programming. There is a hack that you can get that allows your teenage sim to get pregnant. I think J.M. Pescado that this is your area is it not?

I thought the rules of World Sims specifically prohibited talking about such modifications on this forums? Modifications having to do with adult themes (yes I know we are talking about teens, but teens in adult situations, which is somehow even worse).

No problem, mangrovejane, my post was not aimed at you. It was aimed at 1) getting admin attention and 2) the person who started this thread.

I have looked at other TS2 boards and this is the only one I post on. Reason: Some of the adult topics on other boards have made my blood run cold. There are some things that are not fun, unless you are a sick, sick individual, and introducing them to a game is just wrong. When i read the posting rules here I said "Self, this is a nice forum, I'll stay here." Now, regardless of what any individual may say in defense of this thread, it breaks some of the rules of this forums. If rules are broken enough they cease to exist (precadence overrides law, happens all the time). Therefore to help keep this forum the place I like to hang my hat I will do what i can to uphold the rules (or as I interpret them, which is why my first post was a question, aimed at the admins, to see if I understood the rule as it applied to this tropic).

So to sum up:

1. mangrovejane, no sweat
2. ManagerJosh, great work
3. SeriousSiriusDenial, post stuff like this somewhere else
4. And me, rulez monger but happy

 

Oh, and can I add my apologies to the pile . I apologise for my link causing such a furore, and for some members being upset by it having been posted. While I disagree strongly with the idea that teenagers should be proteced from the concept of teenage pregnancy, and equally strongly that this will to protect should be enforced with censorship, I appreciate the pointlessness of attempting to change the minds of people who disagree strongly with me, as I think many people using (and moderating and administrating!) this forum do. So I will refrain from arguing with the decision to censor, despite my contention.

I hope my admitting I dislike the decision does not irritate anyone further, and that I have couched it in sufficiently non-confrontatory terms.

 

LOL Now we're all to blame!!!! This would be my favourite sims site, I must say, because the people posting are friendly and are always willing to point you in the right direction when you need help.

I myself could have pointed them toward some other forums, but doing so would once again be like pointing them toward a hack restricted by the rules. I won't do that. I have no problem if SSDenial or anyone else goes elsewhere for such hacks. I don't care if they use such hacks. Heck, i don't care if they use every adult hack they can get their hands on. That is not my concern. However, World Sims is my concern, because I like it here; I like its people (JM, Kat, jane, Josh, and all the regulars, you rock), i like its rules, and I like posting here.

 

Kat - Okay, that's all fine, thank you for explaining your position to me, it makes me a lot less bewildered about your decisions . I largely agree with the points you made, and while I still don't completely agree with you as I don't agree with self-censorship, even in the interests of wider accessiblity in terms of other forms of censorship (work, watchdog lists etc), you are of course entitled to your different opinions, and I respect your decision to act upon them. Again, thank you for explaining, it has made me feel far less angry apart from anything else - reasoned argument, whether or not I agree with it, is infinatley pereferable to me and makes me far less angry than seemingly arbitrary actions or ones based on a unthinking deference to some authority (religious, moral, structural etc). So thank you .

No. You just can't ask for this kind of help on this forum nor can you supply links to similar subject matter. The admins have explained why. I have stated my opinions and experience with similar subjects.

And as for "ya'll", we all are different people with different opinions. If you have a problem with what someone specific said please feel free to address the specific post. Quoting is a good way to do this.

NOt a sicko!!!! Teen pregnancy happens in real life too and it doesn't have to "ruin" a life. There are just more appropriate places to post some things for some members of the group...and that's ok too. All people are asking is that we think before we post linkages and modifications on this forum. Simple. Case closed. Let's move on to a happier thread
