Preserving the Nose I've decided to see how long the Sparrow family nose will last. It's alive and well in the third generation and if Sybil or Elizabeth Sparrow find George McCarthy agreeable it may survive to the fourth generation . Pictures of the Sparrow's beak are attached . The picture of Sybil and George is their first meeting and they got on real well. I have hopes for them. Ol' Dad Wynter is pictured and sister Elizabeth who hasn't decided about college yet. She may just stay home and take care of her elderly parents and poor, lonely widowed Aunt Andrea.
Yup, and George is wooing Sybil these days. Cousin Kiara, on the other hand, has fallen hard for Drake Centowski, the Llama. They're engaged. Kiara's mom, Andrea, does not like him at all, expecially when he showed up at the family home in full Llama mascot suit, accompanied by his friend Scott in full spotted cow mascot suit. Andrea was insulted by this lack of respect for Kiara's family, got angry with all of them and stomped off to simmer in her bedroom . Kiara, however, adores those big brown Llama eyes. She is not disturbed by the fact that when Drake goes anywhere--the student union, the gym, the library--he gets out of the taxi dressed up in his Llama suit even though he got into the taxi dressed in the latest of casual college fashion, evidently changing clothes in the back of the cab. Drake clearly has some identify and self-esteem issues. Not to worry. Kiara knows, and rightly, that once he graduates from college and they're married, he'll hang the Llama suit up for good. Well, OK, maybe not for good--he'll put it on just for her sometimes because she really likes making out with the Llama .
Uh... If you mean will the kids inherit her nose or his, I'm betting that if there are two kids there will be one of each type of nose 'cause they're both big. So far in this legacy family: 1 redhead big nose marries 1 blond big nose producing 2 redhead big noses. Of these 2, 1 red big nose married 1 blond big nose and produced 1 red big nose and 1 blond big nose. The other red big nose married 1 blond small nose and produced 3 small noses, 2 red and 1 blond. Are you keeping up? So far, in the red vs. blond gene, red may be very slightly stronger than blond. In the nose contest, though, I think small wins. Which is why I think keeping the big nose alive in this family will be a challenge. How many NPCs out there have a nose as proud as George McCarthy's proboscis. I could go into CAS, but the challenge for me has been (even before I read about the Legacy challenge) to reel in and marry NPCs.
When I first saw the title of the thread, I thought you were talking about chopping off someone's nose and preserving it in the freezer, Lynet! Anyway, even if the kids do take after the dad, will it really make much of a difference? They're both humongous beaks. Also, I'm pretty impressed. I always find myself vainly making beautiful sims, or close-to-beautiful. They never have gigantic noses or tiny ears or fat chins...
I myself come from a family with small, very ordinary noses. I think it makes for a boring profile . When I started the Legacy family, I didn't pay much attention to what Duke, the Patriarch, looked like. It was only when I noticed the profiles of two of his grandchildren--Sybil and Elizabeth Sparrow--that I realized there was something 'extra' to this family. I took a closer look at his son, Wynter, who is the father of Sybil and Elizabeth, and saw the nose on him, too. Unfortunately, I couldn't check Wynter's Dad because the old man is in his grave. Hold on! **light bulb overhead** I see his ghost on occasion. I'll have to take a closer look. Speaking of ghosts. The Sparrow family has the strange habit of setting an extra plate on the dinner table when one of the family ghosts is roaming the house. If there are four family members home (no guests in the house,) five places will be set . Of course, the ghost never sits down with them.
LOL 123. Mmmmm ... frozen lips ... I have some beautiful people too, but I've started to make sims that defy that ... Delphie du Belleville has an incredible schnozz, herself, and none of her daughters is classically pretty, though they certainly look pretty good as teens right now. Delphine is very nice from the front, and I kind of like her nose ... I'll try to post if the upload times don't kill me first. The Alighieris on the other hand are all extremely beautiful. Even as elders the parents are lookers.
I wouldn't say my sims look so much "beautiful" by the apparent standards of most people. In fact, they look downright mean. Observe my sim-grandson and sim-greatgrandson, in order: Both possess the infamous familial nosebrow, which, amusingly enough, neither of the founders had, but all children have managed to spontaneously have and keep for what now appears to be 3 generations. The word somebody used to describe them was "stroppy".
Yeah, but the redheaded woman the Grandson keeps having "wants" about is pretty. Did you make her, too? Or was she a Townie that you changed her appearance, or was she inborn? She looks sortof like Tammy the barista, but diffrent hair.
Real sim, also bred in-game. She actually looks meaner up close. Look for the great-grand-children from those two at a later date. I'll try to go get a picture of her, too. You'll see she's not as nice as she appears. In fact, she's a complete and utter *****, which makes them a perfect match. Here:
Cool JMP!! I have one that scowls. His name is David. The second picture is the reason he scowls, his redneck wife Mavis. The Thrid is the product of their union, poor ugly Enrique. Oh, and the reason Enrique is dressed like a girl is because he inherited big sister Maria's sleeper. Again, art immitating life. LOL
What absolutely fabulous families, JMP and Krystalrose. I suspect that baby bears a strong resemblance to JMP . Speaking of agressive Sims, a spontaneous battle erupted between visitors at one of my dorms. The Spotted Cow attacked the Cheerleader. The Cow lost and ran off. The Cheerleader went upstairs and started reading a book as if nothing had happened. One of the dorm residents has a crush on that cheerleader so I was relieved she won, although I know nothing about her. She could be a real troublemaker.
I remember reading somewhere that both the cheerleader and the llama mascot are enemies of the 'evil' cow mascot. Both of the 'good' NPCs have extremely high body skill points and hence beat up the cow mascot time and time again. Thank goodness
I don't know that cheerleader. I know the blonde, Nikki, and the one with the long black ponytail. Those are the only two I see regularly.
