QE2 Retires Today, the QE2 docked in Dubai after 40 years, 2.5Mil passengers, and 6Mil miles. Her new owners intend to gut her in order to make her into a hotel and conference center, among other things. Most sacrilegiously, they intend to remove her funnel and replace it with a glass substitute. The Queen is dead. Long live the Queen!
