    Question about Bathroom Uses You

Does anyone use this hack? I can't get it to work. How does it work? I tried Macro/Use bathroom but that wasn't an option. Is it only an option if the sim really has to "go"?

Do I need to install a special device first?

I search MATY and no one else seems to be as dumb as me so this question wasn't posted.

    Thanks.

LOL There's an object associated with this hack. It's a toilet roll in a holder with the Soviet hammer & sickle. Place that in the bathroom and you can, by clicking on it, access a number of options.

I actually don't use the options ... much.

There are a number of considerations to take into account here. First is that as a bathroom hack it invokes washing needs as well as bladder ones. I tend to avoid placing the controller bog-roll in proper bathrooms and instead limit their use to a downstairs powder room. I try to site these near the foot of the house's main staircase so that the room can catch visitors.

The controller device has one fabby feature in that it ejects a sim immediately they have done their business.

When there is a bathroom controller in a house you should find Macro options to "use bathroom" appear in the macrotastics menu. The bathroom controller is essential if you ever plan to use the macro >> caffeinate option as without the controller poor old Joe Sims has no idea about the need to siphon off the diuretically increased bladderage leading to stinkiness and embarrassment all around.

The bathroom controller toilet roll in a holder is found in the miscellaneous section of the miscellaneous part of the buy catalogue menu.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!

Glad I wasn't just going crazy. I'll try it out and see which way I prefer, but your suggestions make sense to me.

P.S. I think your sim-you looks like a foxy chick. I wouldn't worry too much about a little gray hair.

LOL, I like the new avatar too. The glasses are pretty darn cool...looks a bit like someone slashed off the top of them, but still cool. :D

I get lots of compliments on my hair, and I've let it go grey. OK, salt and pepper, but I've got a lot of grey.

All I'm saying is, maybe you should go for it!

The irony is that I also liked the effect of the grey, mostly because my own locks have stubbornly resisted the urge to silver up. My own mum thought I was using a colorant until the first grey hairs made their entrance. I quite like them, but the 2% ratio is fine by me. It's enough to prove I am as old as my face and also that my colour is natural. My sister was seriously grey before she reached 30 and after experimenting with every shade on the shelf she has been outrageously blonde for the last 2 decades.

I'm a.... coppery blonde, I guess. I was a white blonde when I was younger though. My Dad is 54 and not a sign of grey hair! People always do a double take when, on the rare occasion, he reveals his age.

I was born with really light blond hair that has gotten progressively darker, which I hate. I was born a blond. I AM A BLOND. And my hairdresser makes sure I stay that way. :D

LOL, I love watching where a thread will go...

I was born with a full head of curly black hair, which promptly fell out. Then it came back in a really shiny golden blonde and considerably less curly. Darkened into what we call "dishwater blonde" as I grew up, and then developed "salt & pepper"... that is, random strands of black and white sprinkled throughout.

My family is cursed to have gray hair by age 30. My sister was completely gray at 22, which sucked for her because she used to be an actress. She had to dye her hair to get roles for women her age. She still dyes it, out of habit, I guess.

Witch baby had black hair at birth, just like you HelloKit, which also fell out and she now has honey blonde/light brown hair. Mine was really dark auburn until it became salt and pepper. I have really nice hair, even if it is gray. When I dyed it it lost a lot of its texture, so I'm really loving how springy and full it is now.

So I guess it has its compensations. ;)

    And LOL at this thread!

BTW, I figured out bathroom uses you and now am stuck on the sleep clock, which I can't figure out at all. How do I choose my sim's bedtime? It just says On and Max. What the **** does that mean?

And I'm going to have to download a table of what the bed numbers mean. Could it BE more obscure? (To quote Chandler Bing.)

Speaking of Hair Color, my Nephew is currently going through his "Harry Potter" phase, so he talked my Sister into letting him use his birthday money to have his naturally white-blonde hair dyed jet black (including his eyebrows!) It was quite a shock when I saw him for the first time at Christmas.

Anyway, now it is growing out, and he hasn't decided if he's going to re-dye it. In the mean-time, the roots are coming in white-blonde, which is basically invisible against the jet-black of the ends, so it looks like he has a head full of black hair kind of floating about an inch off the top of his head...a very STRANGE look, I must say...

(Sorry to continue off topic, but I just had to share!)

You don't choose the bedtime, you choose the wake-up time, and then the clock calculates when the Sim will have to go to bed in order to wake up at that time (based on the Sim's energy level and the energy rating of the bed). Bedtime on means the clock will automatically call the Sim to bed at the calculated bedtime, and max will make the sleep call override anything else in the Sim's queue.
