Re building of schools etc.... Hey... i happened to come across this interesting site: http://megspace.com/entertainment/simsaccessories/ it is reallly great, 5 stars, its a must to go and check it out. umm....at the bottom of the page, there's this 'Theme' section. the themes are: medical centre, school, church and egyptian room.. wadeva that is.. i'm juz wondering how do u build schools, medical centres and churches??? thanks ~marie!
I would guess you build them on your sims lots same as houses. Some people LOVE themed houses and stuff... I would love to make a little wedding chapel type lot for Old Town now that Unleashed has all those new lots to play with! I'll go check out the site and see what they've got, I might use some of their stuff to make my lot with!
TVs don't work in old town!!??? aaaarrrgh!!! ... hmmm there must be SOME way to get around that!! I just don't know how....
Does it mean it is possible to actually build maybe a school? If this is possible, can someone tell me how i can do that? When the kids go to school, will they go there?
If you built a school, it would be the same as building ANY building on a lot... just decorated and built with a school theme. It wouldn't actually be the school your sims kids go to when they take the bus! Although it would be cool if that could happen in a future expansion or something.... If you have Unleashed you could make your school on an old town lot so you could have your families with kids come visit there and make the kids sit at desks and study!
well, first of all, will you have a family actually living on that lot? If you have Unleashed I would say build it on an Old Town lot so your family can visit and enjoy it, but not have to live there too. To build a school, you just put up the walls like for a house, and then decorate it like a school, put in school furniture etc. But it WILL NOT be the school your sims kids go to when they get on the bus and leave for the day. I think that's what Josh means by "fake"
If you put desks and bookshelves and chairs, the kids CAN actually take books from the shelves and sit in the chairs and study to improve their grades!
