Reinstalling my Sims 2 game, every time it gets to 73% done, a message will pop up...

    that says this....

"A problem occured when trying to transfer the file 'E:/EP2/TSData/Res/NeighborhoodTemplate/… from the media.

Do you want to rety to copy the file, or cancel the installation?"

Then it gives two buttons, a retry button and a cancel button.
When I hit the retry button, the message goes away but five minutes later it pops back up.

Does anyone know what I should do?

Make sure there is no dust, fingerprints or scratches on the disk.
Try copying the CD to your hard drive first and running the install from that.

swmeek I got your benevolent dictator pal!!

You can go in and copy the files it's calling for by right mouse clicking the E drive and then click explore and then find the files it's wanting and put them where they go.
You might go over to the Sims 2 Wikia and looking around there as there is a ton of information there .
