Sim CIty Societies Problems

Well i got on EA for $20 for the quick install thought this day i've been try alot of stuff from the post but nothing sames to work. I not shere why this computer that i got in 09 is not run this game at all. i click on the icon twice the like hour glass aperes on the side oh the mouse then disaperes and nothing happins

 

Please help i'm only 14 so not to complecated k

 

what operating system are you using ?
Did you make sure your computer meets the specs to run the game ?
Just because it installs doesn't mean that the game will play.
It use to be games would check the computer first to see if it met the specs or not but nowadays they mostly don't and you're screwed once you open the game box.

 

Well My Computer has a AMD Phonom X4 9850 Qued-Care Processor, 8GB System Memory, 700GB Hard Drive, a NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GS, and a Graphics card with 786MB dedicated video Memory that is what is lyble on my computer for farther check i would have to dig deeper

 

And you know the weird thing is that i was playing the demo of this game the day b4 i bought it

 

But The demo only let you build a fun city and a industoll city and the max # of building is 100 but the change alot of things right?

 

So the demo worked fine but now the disc won't work?
You might try installing any patches and see if it helps.
Did you make sure you completely uninstalled the demo before you installed the full version?
There might be something left over that's corrupting the game .
I've not played the game but if I can't help you I would suggest you try out www.simtropolis.com as it caters more to Sim City and other city sim games.

 

Well i didn't get the disc i got the download but i'll try to see if the demo is completeing unintalled

 

well there no sigh of the demo left i deleted it the other day so...........i guess i'll have to try that sight you gave me.

 

Oh ok it might be something to do with the anti-piracy software stopping you then.
Are you using any cd or dvd burning software that might be causing this.
If you are uninstall it (burning software) and try again.

That shouldn't cause any issues either.

If it were me I would completely uninstall it again and clean out the registry to remove any leftover bits that might be hidden in there.
Make sure there are no files or folders left over in the My Documents or program files part as sometimes uninstalling doesn't remove everything.
There might be some traces of the demo in there that causes this.
Be forewarned though editting the registry can cause problems.
I would suggest you look on the wiki site and see if there is a sim city societies page and see if it tells you how to do it, if not try the ea support line and ask there.

I doubt you'll be able to get your money refunded for a digital download.
