    Sims 2 Installation Help

    Processor: AMD Athlon XP 1800+, ~1.5 GHz
    System Memory: 512 Mb
    Win 2000
    Free HD: 15GB +
    DirectX V. 9
    GeForce4 MX 420 with AGP8X 64 Mb
    [FONT=&quot]UmMain Driver: nv4_disp.dll

    Everytime I try installing Sims 2 (CD version) on my computer it always stops at 72% and notifies me that it cannot transfer globalcatbin.bundle.package. At first I thought the CD was defective, so I exchanged it for another, but I still have the same problem! I tried installing on my sibling's laptop, and it worked fine! How can I get this to work on MY computer?

    A thing to note: I have my HDD split up into 3 partitions...system files, programs, and document files. I usually install programs in my program partition (duh) but maybe this is not a good thing for sims 2?

    I would appreciate any help. :)

    TS2 needs to be installed in your "C Drive" part for it to work the best. There are ways to install it in other partitions, but it's more likely to glitch that way. Usually the C Drive is also where the system files are.

    You might also want to try doing a search on this website for your problem. I seem to remember seeing it answered elsewhere.
