10)Okay I did clan up the hardrive..so that is not the problem, I even uninstalled a few things, but it still lags really bad..It will freeze for a few seconds, then start moving again, or it just takes forever to load..So what exactly can I do?

I had the exact same problem, except mine also used to crash every so often, especially in build mode when i added/removed wall surfaces.

I found an extremely simple fix that seems to have worked for me.

Just turn off the music while in these modes.

Go to the sound options and uncheck all the song titles in each mode that you wish to improve. I advise against this in LIVE mode because you wont hear music from TVs and Stereos etc.

Ive turned them off for build mode, buy mode and neighborhood mode. The result is that my game now runs without stuttering as much. When i get more RAM (currently have 256mb, upping to 768mb soon) i will put the music back on and see if it still does it.

    Hope that helps :)

    *EDIT*

If it helps (for comparisons) heres my system specs:

    1) CPU (MHz/GHz) - Pentium 4 - 2.0ghz - 512K L2 cache
    2) RAM/Memory - How Much (MB/GB) - 256mb pc2100
    3) Free Hard Disk Space - 18gb
    4) Total Hard Disk Space - 40gb
    5) Graphic/Video Card - 128mb Nvidia Geforce FX5200
    6) Graphic/Video Card Driver Version - Forceware 61.77
    7) DirectX Version - 9.0c
    8) Operating System (Windows? Mac? Etc) - Windows XP Home

You didn't give us your Video card...you only gave us your Windows XP decoded system info.

Can I ask why you felt the type of video card you had needed to be removed for security reasons? I mean, I'm a pretty paranoid guy and all, especially with regards to any information that is individually unique, but your video card's model isn't individually unique and doesn't tell us squat about you. I don't get it. What's the big secret? Especially since it is useless to tell us what version the driver is when we do not know what the driver is for!

Also, you need a heck of a lot more RAM.

Agree 100% there. I installed an extra 512mb RAM today and all the stuttering/freezing stopped completely. The game also loads up MUCH quicker now too!

JM, please stop being so 'paranoid'. I fear that you may eventually start spreading rumours, that other new users will take as solid fact. So please stop with the 'EA has Spyware'-type posts. First, please get some hard facts from a adware/spyware scanner such as AdAware 6 SE, for example. Thank-you.

I tried that, naturally. I run these things constantly. Adaware 6 on the most recent definitions, SpyBot S&D, and HijackThis all failed to find anything. Not even the spyware I wrote myself. Clearly, there is no heuristic detection, even for a piece of malware I personally wrote to serve as a control for the experiment. Failure to find anything therefore proves nothing. My suspicions remain, and will only be quelled when EA permits me to register via their website like with TS1, a procedure I have somewhat more faith in due to lack of proprietary software involved.

However, the fact that they openly drag their feet and stonewall in a process that has been demonstrably DONE already does not inspire faith.
