Sims 2 Mac Expansion Pack won't work (torrent and patch probs)

Hi there,

I signed up for this site in hope that somebody can help me. I bit torrented the Sims 2 and Sims Expansion Pack (Pets, Nightclub, etc) from <removed> The Sims 2 works fine on my 1.8ghz Macbook. However, I was not able to successfully "patch" any of the ExPack to my existing Sims 2 game. So...I am really frustrated!

When I try to patch the Sims 2 to the Sims Pets EP, it starts to load for a second, then it stop and said: Can not patch this file.

Is this because I am on intel and not powerpc? Or... did I downloaded a "broken" file? I checked the <removed> website and some people said that they were only able to get the Pets Expack to work. That is the one that I really want to play.

Has anybody been through this before or know how to help? THANKS!
