Are you using Windows Xp compatibility mode to run this? I don't see any reasons why it would be doing this as this computer should be able to play about any game out there on the market. Is this a custom computer that you built or did you buy it like this? The 285 video card is a rather power hungry beast and if it's not getting enough power it could cause it to do this. What power supply brand and wattage output is it ? I would suggest you download a program called RealTemp and have it monitor your temp levels and see if it's getting too hot. Overheating could be a possibility and could be caused by dust bunnies in the fan or the thermal paste on the card going bad. There are too many possibilities as to what the culprit is. Did you get any kind of error message when it crashed? What other games have you played on this system before now? (anything more graphic intensive than Sims 3}
