The biggest problem I've seen people having is not having a powerful enough system to run the sims well. But if you meet the recommended system specs (not minimum), you should be able to run the game smoothly. Besides that, the game rocks. There are a few minor gameplay tweaks that need to be addressed in a future patch, but nothing significant. The only gripe I have with the game is the lack of objects and things to do. I am a veteran sims player. I've been playing since the game was released in 1999 and I've purchased and played with every expansion pack. I was used to having all kinds of different things to do and tons of different ways to customize my game. But now it's like starting over. Basically, the trade-off for losing all of my wonderful expansions (Hot-Date, SUperstar, etc...) will be the all new features included with The Sims 2. Hopefully these new features will keep me occupied until some expansions come out. I'm sure they will, because I haven't even started having kids or anything yet, which is one of the biggest features. Hopefully you found this a little informative. ;)

Additionally: Make sure you don't use the NOCD crack that some people have been using because is disables build mode. But most people who use that crack are lowlifes who download pirated copies of the game, and since you've got a legit copy on the way, you probably wouldn't use that NOCD crack anyway.. ;)

Hey thanks for the heads up. Well It looks like I a got the rec. requirements for the game, but that can only be proven by the game. If anybody got extra things to add it would be great if you post it. Thanks.
