Sold Out at the Fresh Rush Grocery

Has anybody esle had problems buying groceries at the Fresh Rush (NL lot)? None of the grocery vending objects will let me click on them. My Sims have to drive all the way back to the Pleasantville grocery to buy their food.

I haven't visited that lot yet but I remember reading there was a problem with buying groceries on Varioussimmers. Carrigon and Dizzy talked about this bug with one of the Maxoids. Since I haven't been to a grocery in NL, I just skimmed it. I believe it was in Carrigon's section.

I think I remember reading that only Sims who live downtown can buy groceries downtown - not sure whether it's a bug or by design, though.

I've been reading about this issue as well. I believe I read about it on MATY. Groceries cannot be purchased by anyone visiting downtown lots, for whatever reason/glitch. At least, that seems to be the consensus. Unless, you maybe live on a downtown lot, as HelloKit stated.

So according to a post later in that thread Maxis did it on purpose. Thanks for the link, but I think I'll skip on the hack as I am skeert of hacks. I'm just happy to know that its not just me. Hopefully, Maxis will figure out a fix when the next patch comes out. Till then my sims will just have to drive cross town...its not like their paying three semoleons a gallon for the gas! :silly:

Groceries for your Sims need to be bought on the same "realm" as they live. So, if they live in Downtown, they won't be able to buy groceries at your University or your "suburb" grocery stores. And if they live in the "suburb" (which for you sounds like Pleasantville), they can only buy their groceries there, not Downtown or in the University "realm."

MaxoidTom wrote an explanation on why that is the case that I believe I saw over at MATY.
