Spore for consoles! Will Wright recently said that he plans for Spore to be released on all major platforms when it comes out. That means, PC, XBOX 360, PS3, Wii, and maybe the systems we have right now. Some of you may be saying "How can they do Spore on the Wii with the funky controller?!" Well, Nintendo will have an optional replacement controller that is a normal style one that you can use instead of the Wiimote. But back on topic, he said he is planning on it, which in the video game industry is a VERY untrustworthy word. So it is still debatable, but he said it with a rather official tone of voice, so he might just be using that word to say that it will happen unless something major happens to prevent it, since nothing is ever final until the release. Personally, I think it is the latter. Discuss if you want, this was just an update.
I haven't heard anything regarding console versions of Spore yet. If Will Wright does actually go ahead and make versions for the consoles that would please quite a few people (especially those with low-end computers).
He announced it at a conference. I'm not sure what kind of conference it might have been though; I was justing relaying the current news.
