Take Pity On Najaf The Iraqi city of Najaf is to be redeveloped by the firm that designed the English city of Milton Keynes (see report) An aerial view of good old Milton Keynes shows what British ingenuity can do with the grid-pattern of modern city design on some average quality farming real-estate in central Britland. Note the whimsical labyrinths that are obviously designed to wear out mail-persons ... presumably to make them easier to snare when one's significant other has just gone up in smoke trying to make a toastie and half the house burned down cos the fire truck got lost en-route to the emergency call-out and you're freshly perked up courtesy of a para-psych after the foregoing chain of disasters caused you momentarily to lose your equilibrium but you're alright nooooow .... just so long as you can quickly fall in love with someone ... heh heh ... that tired postie will do for now ...
Is it wrong of me to think "Wow, what a perfect map for Close Combat!" when I first saw the picture? The road-network is beautiful regardless. Wish my SC's could turn out like that.
