    this is odd

I've been running my Sims 2 and expansion packs (Pets, Nightlife, Glamour Stuff) on my new Sharp laptop for about a month now. It's been working fine until today. I opened it and it got to the loading screen just before you get to choose which neighborhood you want to play. When it's almost done loading the game just shuts down. There's no warning, no pop-up screen, nothing. It just shuts down.

I've tried restarting my computer, taking out the Downloads folder, and tampering with the properties.

I'm really lost on what to do.

Hsquar3d, take a look at this link. It's from EA's support site. You can find lots of answers to your problems there. :)

Hi xXVaelXx, could you post up some system specifications? Also, have you tried removing your downloads folder and re-loading the game?

geForce 2 is rather minimal. However, apart from updating the driver (you failed to tell us about the driverr so I'm guessing it's not updated) you might just have a corrupt game file.

Reinstalling should fix the problem. See the FAQs for detailed advice on uninstalling and/or reinstalling
