toddler personality points just out of curiosity, when a baby turns into a toddler, it gets its personality points (neatness, outgoing, laziness, etc).. how are these points determined? did they depend on how the baby was treated, neglected or pampered? or are they all random.
They are inherited from the mother and father ... the genetics is slightly complicated but two untidy sims are more likely to have an untidy child. Like I said, though, it is complicated by other factors so nothing is certain.
That's for sure. It usually holds that way but I've got a sim who's the complete opposite of mom and dad. And in his case, that's a good thing.
And if the sim is a 3rd generation, they can also pick up personality points from a grandparent. I have one who has almost the identical personality points of his grandfather. His grandmother was a nice lady, and both parents are nice, but this sim and his grandpa are/were both jerks.
LOL, Kristal. That happened to me too. Not only did Max get Spike's personality, he also got his hair color! His mom has red hair, his dad has black, and he has ... blonde! That freaked me out. He had a kid with another blonde, and she got HER grandma's red hair. So in that family things definitely skip a generation.
