Tried everything, what now? Here's the system specs. I believe I have everything needed to play the game, but once the game starts, there is severe graphic issues, you can tell the game is running ok, but the screen flickers mostly red, then vertical lines. After an hour on the phone with EA tech support, they couldn't tell me what to do to fix it, except to try the warranty feature to get my money back on the game. Any suggestions, help, etc. would be GREATLY appreciated!! Just two basic thoughts.. 1) Try these set of beta drivers. http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_winxp_2k_67.03.html 2) Upgrade your memory from 512MB to 1GB...
What about adjusting something in the Bios? I was reading on another thread where I believe they had a similar problem and lowered the setting from 4X to 2X?
The nVidia FX5700LE is an AGP 8x/4X card. Doing that will only reduce performance. Ideally, it should be set at 4x, or moreover, at 8x to achieve maximum performance.
Yeah, but loss of performance is a worthy trade-off for playability, isn't it? Basically you can try lowering the "AGP Rate" or somesuch to something lower than what it's currently set to. Every mobo has different BIOS configuration options, so you're going to have to find it yourself if you don't know where it is already. And 1GB RAM is the standard now? [Darn], I'm behind the times. I have 768Mb
