trouble Well I'm having some difficulties, I just started playing the sims 2 with nightlife xp, and I am new to the game altogether. I thought I was high enough into the gold I tried to use the elixer of life to get young again and got older, now I'm old, I my sim refuses to use the phone whatsoever and socializing is near impossible so I am constantly in a bad mood. I have tried selling my phone and buying a new one which hasnt helped at all my sim still refuses to use the phone even when every other stat is way into the green. What do I do??? Now I cant use elixer to get younger because I cant get out of this bad mood. Thanks for any help!
Wow, that is one unhappy sim. Maybe he won't use the phone because there's no one to call. Has he met and talked to people? Another option is to start another family in a different house, go to a community lot and see if Sim #1 visits the community lot. Have sim #2 make friends with him, tell jokes, etc, call him up on the phone. I'm guessing that your sim is depressed because his social bar is way low. Is that it? It takes a little time and practice to get used to keeping your sims happy. I'd suggest creatng several of them and trying different personalities, aspirations, etc. Knowledge sims are fairly easy to keep happy.
Once a sime hits the elder years, is it possible to become young again? I thought that once your sim went grey, that was it! Even with the green stuff, I thought the best you could do was to go back to the beginning of being an elder...So what's the story???
You're right, Sacharissa. You can't go back an age category. Once you're there, you're there. I think you can reassign ages in SimPE or using a hack but otherwise there's no going back.
Even reassigning ages in SimPE won't alter a sim's appearance ... that would require deeper and more thorough hacking which would be the start of a road that leads to big fiery balls visible from space.
