TS2 Body shop works yet the TS2 does not I don't understand... I've tried to install this game on 4 computers now and failed everytime... it'll start up for a moment and then I'll get a black screen and a message saying there's no grapics adapter and that it can't recognize direct x 9.0c. Yet the body shop will work perfectly. I have no problem with it. And the graphics on the body shop are flawless. Am I doing something wrong, or is there something more I could do? I've had my game for almost a week now and I still haven't gotten to play it. Well, you dont have near enough RAM. The minimum RAM to play the game is 256, and that will barely run it. You need more RAM, you also didnt tell us what video card you have, and that could very well be a part of it. The body shop is no where near as needy as the game is, so thats why you can run the body shop but not the game. Check the fine print on the box, it lists the system requirements.
also, your CPU isnt anywhere near able to play the game either. minimum is 1.5GHZ WITH a T&L card. and my guess is that you dont have one, in which you would need a 2GHZ proc.

Goodness gracious that's an old computer. It's practically an antique. Remember that computers age, on average, several hundred times faster than living beings - when four years old a computer is, look good it will not.
The minimum specs for BodyShop are lower than for TS2 itself. (After all, the Body Shop doesn't have nearly the intensity of graphics requirements let alone things like pathing and AI.) The minimum specs for TS2 are (if you have a non-T&L card, which you probably do CPU 2.0ghz RAM 256mb (although more is better, especially if you have XP) Video card with minimum 32mb of display memory (aka "approx total memory" or video memory) I suspect that you don't meet any of the minimums at this point. However, "failed to find graphic adapter" is caused by not updating your graphics card drivers after upgrading the Direct X to 9.0C. (That direct X is a tricky one that really had an impact on need for the proper drivers.)
Hi, the box states an 800 MHz processor, not 1.5 GHz. My computer is set up like this: Windows XP PRO SP 2 CPU 1.15 GHZ AMD Athon XP 60 GB Mator HDD 40 GB Maxtor HDD 768 MB PC 2100 DDR RAM Direct X 9 Nvidia G-Force FX 5200 with 128 MB DDR RAM AGP. The game runs fine.
