    TS2U installation problem

Before i get started let me warn you that I'm not very slick when it comes to computers, so chances are I probably wont know what you mean unless thouroughly explained in layman's terms.

Anywho, about 3 months ago I unistalled Sims 2, recently i just reinstalled it, all of my saved material was still there (i guess i didnt really uninstall it completely). So now I'm trying to install TS2U, all goes well but when i get to "64% Support\*.*" everything just screws up. Then i get this pop up that says " A problem occured when trying to transfer the file 'D:\Support\European Help Files\Fi\webhelp.jar' from the media. Do you want to retry to copy the file, or cancel installation?". Naturally I retried, i get to 65%, then the same pop-up comes, in-fact it kept doing that each time i clicked it, except it wasn't actually doing a thing (there was even a "download-hum" coming from my computer.

When i first intsalled TS2 there were a few download problems, but simply retrying the installation process seemed to work -- nothing happened the second time (not sure if that's any important info). On another note i haven't downloaded any patches, mods, etc from any other sites -- I've just been playing with whatever is on the CD.

Anywho, thanks for your help in advance.

I got that same message when installing. Try taking your disc out and checking for smudges or cracks. If theres a smudge, clean it gently. A crack would definitely prevent you from installing, but mine was just a minor smudge and once it was removed, I put the disc back in, hit retry, and it continued without a hitch.
