twins/babies for some reason my game had a glitch and would shut down anytime anyone went into labor. so i uninstalled the game and reinstalled all the packages. now i have been playing bug free for like five or six months and i have not had one set of twins. does anyone have an answer for that one? i used to get them like crazy!
I don't think there are any "secrets" to having twins. They're just random. I went through a spell where that's all I had, now I've only had one set in quite a while.
Amen to that It's like all the random events. I had a long sequence of girls babies only then I got twin boys and after that ... :yikes: all I got was twins LOL ............. meanwhile last night I got my third alien abduction last night after getting two in quick succession very soon after getting the game way back when I got some fine video of the event (not the special event movie version) now all I need is some ideas about how to use it ...
yeah i know they are random but not having nay for like five or six months? does anyone find that part odd? i mean i have had spells when all i have dad is twins but since i reinstalled i have had none! i think it is a little bit odd!
I'm sorry kiddo but you need to get a grip on "random". If you flip an "honest" coin ten times and get a head every time the chances of getting a tail on the next throw are still 50:50 I can't remember off-hand what the percentage odds of having twins in the game is but it's around 5% (1 in 20) Statistical analysis of 5% odds reveal that it would not be considered unusual to fail to find the 5% option in 50 samples ... heck! It wouldn't even be outrageous to have a 100 births without twins showing up ... it might be unusual but not very. If chance of twins were increased it would pee-off a lot more players than it would please. Besides there are twins hacks if you really must have them. My own experience is that they're a total pain. Their aspiration wants are almost always unfulfillable (eg want a parent who's at work to read to them ... ). The game throws in twins as a fly in the ointment and not as fun. I have a friend who is expecting real twins. She is barely halfway through and has already had to stop work because she is having trouble walking ... she is being brave but she is also quite intimidated at the prospect of having TWO babies to care for. All the same, you've obviously raised sim twins and if you enjoyed it then I am not disrespecting you. I cannot diss what I do not understand. I just try to cope with what comes up ... and when I can't I cheat. Hangs head in shame ...
Yeah, I haven't had twins since the first time I got a sim pregnant way back in October, 2004. These things really are random.
I've sort of had a genetic thing happen. First generation Sim had twins, second gen Sim had a single, third gen Sim had twins... only three family units in my game have had twins, and I have about 4 generations now. So it's a random thing, and you have to be patient.
