You don't have to have your sims quit their jobs, or get two nannies, as one nanny can take care of the two babies just fine. When hiring the nanny, you may want to make the earlier-departing Sim call her. This will give the other Sim the opprtunity, if needed, to build skills or socialise before they have to leave for work.:D

I hate the nannies. I've had so many nanny glitches, I never use them. I have my Sims take their vacation if their work schedules overlap, have one of them quit their job if that doesn't work, or create my own nanny. If you have university you can just plop a nanny into a household. A playable nanny, I've found, is much better ...

Just curious. Did you get a girl and a boy or an identical set? I've only had two pairs of twins so far and they're both boy-girl. Boy first, then girl, in the same house ...

As for telling them apart, I think you can hover the mouse over them and it will give you the name ...

I told you I hate nannies. They're evil. I avoid them at all costs.

As for your twins hating each other, make them tell each other jokes, and then when they can, have them play together. Another good way is to have them both use the dollhouse at the same time.

My twins always end up being best friends that way. When they become teens they "hang out" a lot together without me telling them to, and now my older pair is in the same rented house in college, still friends.

Just takes a little work on your part at first, and you of course have to make sure they continue to interact. But that's one of the really good things about twins: built-in best friend.

Does anyone out there have identical twins, or are they always boy-girl? Not complaining, just wondering ...

No, I believe I've had at least one boy-girl twin set born ingame. That was before I did the fresh re-load, so I lost that family in March. Since then, I've only had one set of twins born in-game, and they were both boys.

Were they identical? Just wondering, since I've only had boy-girl twins ...

Hummm, trying to remember, because I keep changing their appearance. :p I believe they were identical. They both had the same blonde hair, blue eyes, and same personality. But for some reason one seemed more outgoing and liked people better, so I made him a popularity sim, and made the other, grouchier sim a Knowledge Sim. He's now hanging out with his Mom feeding neighbors to tghe cow plant. The other one, I sent off the college, and now he's s sophmore in a Frat house making lots of friends. :) I guess both of them are happy. (I don't know, haven't seen either of them for 8 days, have I mentioned that. Twitiching, shaking, I am! )

LOL. :D Good thing cow plants ain't real, or there would be a lot fewer people in some neighborhoods ...

I don't know, I think the cow plant might be a good thing in rare cases. A certain ex-brother-in-law would make wonderful cow-plant food. :D ;)

Ooooh ... nasty. I like that in a person. I could probably come up with a candidate or two myself ...

Yeah, but on second thought, wouldn't want to drink the Elixir if it was a person like my ex-bro-in-law. . . too many toxins, and I like to keep my body pure. Well, except for caffine:D

I just had two sets of twins! Not to the same sim of course, that would be freaky,:D but I got two couples through Uni (George and Carlotta Von Hunts are bro and sis) and they have just had twins. I had Carlotta marry Ricky Cormier (after I changed his Aspiration to Family at Uni), they had boy twins. One was black and the other white. George and Beth Trimble (I think) had a boy and a girl. I hired a nanny for both families as they all go to work full time.

Good luck with the nannies. They can be evil.

And congratulations on your dual little bundles of joy, squared. I wonder if the fact that two of their parents were siblings had any effect on the twin factor. I had one house in my old neighborhood where my sims were guaranteed to get a boy/girl set of twins ... freaky.

I haven't had a sim have twins since.

One black and one white, hmmm? I guess that's been known to happen in real life, too ... just not very often. :)

The nannies haven't been too bad so far, but I have had some who weren't very attentive, where they wouldn't notice dirty diapers for a while, despite having it right under their nose! I might just have one or both Sims quite work when they become toddlers anyway, they have plenty of money and will need plenty of time and effort to raise their kids properly.

Yowch! Put those claws away, girl! Lol. Don't blame you though. If you say it on here, he has to be bad.
