Ugh, This is a Pain! Processor: AMD Athlon XP 3000+, 2.1 GHz System Memory RAM- 512 mb Windows Version- XP Free Hard Disk Space-87 gigs Total Hard Disk Space- 127 gigs DirectX Version- 9.0c Display Adapter Radeon 9600 XT ati2dvag.dll, 6.14.0010.6387, 9/12/2003 128.0 mb Sims 2 DVD I installed the Sims 2 DVD edition and everything worked perfectly. Except everytime I load it, it freezes on the "choose a neighborhood" screen. I've gotten it to get to the "create a family" screen once, but it froze there. Any help would be appreciated!
That's a very old driver you have there, Boy. Check out http://forums.worldsims.net/showpost.php?p=94501&postcount=4 and go get the latest ati drivers for your Radeon 9600. Thank you for taking the trouble to post so clear a question.
