    Unidentified Flying Object?

I was scouting sites Downtown in my Valley neighborhood (a long way from Strangetown), in order to build an abandoned factory, and something with flashing lights whizzed across the screen. And I'm pretty sure it "hit" something and that I saw smoke for a few seconds. I was scouting for sites over in the area near the "UFO crash," if that means anything. It happened too fast for me to pause the game and take pictures.

Either that, or my graphics card is seriously overheating. That's actually true. That particular neighborhood downtown has been giving me graphics problems regularly. Guess it's too congested.

The flying pig, BTW, as been a regular feature in that Downtown for some time now.

    Anyone else seen a UFO?

Wow! That is new. I never heard of a UFO actually crashing ... all I have is the wreckage.

I've had an UFO investigate a crash. I placed the wreckage in Tropico to symbolize the appearance of Bender's talking alien cat.

You know that just might be what happened to Lyn ... Lynet!!! Did you have any pre-dumped UFO wreckage in Valley?

Meanwhile I am wondering if Matt Groenig knew what Bender means in British ...

I was in the Downtown suburb :)rolleyes: ) of my neighborhood The Valley. All the Downtowns come with a UFO crash site near the tall buildings. That's where I was hanging out, looking for a suitable place for adding another lot.

Thanks, Chee-Z. I've been worried about my graphics card (and maybe my sanity, :p since I don't believe that earth is visited by beings from outer space.) Now I'm a little less worried about those two things.

Howdy, Mirelly. Glad to see you back!

    No problem. :)

Also, hehe yeah I was first playing Tropico at my boyfriend's house. It was his (and my brothers') idea to name the first robot I built in OFB after the one in Groening's Futurama, though this Sim Bender I have is totally not the alcoholic, swearing, uncouth one from the cartoon... Now I too am wondering what it means in British.
