What kind of extension(i.e. .avi)does S2 support for selfmade movies created for them Well, I guess the question was in the topic. I've made a Sim Movie with Windows Movie Maker (.wmv) but it doesn't apear on TV because (I guess, since other movies in .avi apeared) the extension is not supported. Does anybody know what extensions are supported by "the Sims 2 TV" Thanks a lot for your help
The extension is .avi. The Prima Guide says ".avi of any size or codec" and cautions that the larger the file, the more it will affect game performance. They recommend keeping the clips down to about 15 frames per second and 128x128 pixels. You might want to have a look at what people are saying on the TS2 BBS about movies and see what they've been working on (look in tips/tricks and community showplace in the movie sections.) I remember reading someone's post about how to change WMV to AVIs there (but because someone had flagged it as inappropriate and as a SM I had to review what was written.) I don't do movies. But this is what I'd found out about it, so hopefully it's what you were looking for.
Windows Movie Maker will need to import those AVI files so you can rerender them, add music, etc. and later on, you will need to export them out as WMV.

Well the thing is unless you use professional software, chances are you will not get quality conversion of the footage.
And another thing I remember from that post was the person saying how surprised they were that a relatively small WMV turned into a monster sized AVI.
