What phone should I get? sigh. My old Motorola Razr finally died...somewhat... The screen no longer works, but apparently I can still dial. But what sucks.. I can't see my text messages! ARGH!! So now I'm wondering what should my next mobile phone be...Suggestions? What do you have?
Try fixing the screen first. Could just be the wire has snapped if it's one of those silly flip phones. Buy a cheap bar phone. It can make and receive calls, send and receive text messages, and the screen's cable won't break after a week.
I have a Nokia N95 and it's pretty damn good. It does everything, so it's a fantastic all-rounder. Unfortunately the battery life is not one to praise, I suppose it has a lot to run, but turning all of that unused stuff does change the battery life considerably. It all depends on what you use your phone primarily for. If you, like most people like to just send/receive calls and send/receive texts, I suppose you can do without the luxury of a camera and video recorder. However, if you like to be up-to-date then there's a massive range to choose from.
I tried fixing it. It's dead as a doorknob. It was already extremely difficult to disassemble the RAZR.
Go with the hammer idea then. Just remove the battery first so it doesn't explode. Then go out and buy a bar phone!

Look for a phone with lots of confusing buttons and other doohickeys on it so that after a week you'll wish you still had the Razr! :ducks:
